About Assisted Stretching
Learn about the benefits of assisted stretching with Stretch Eden
What Is Assisted Stretching?
Assisted Stretching is a 1-on-1 stretching session with a trained professional, where your body is safely guided into various full body stretches, while you simply relax.
We pair scientifically proven methods of PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) a technique used in physiotherapy, and breath work, to help you relax and deepen into each position and get the most out of your stretch.

The Benefits of Stretching
Stretching is an important part of overall health and longevity with numerous health and wellbeing benefits such as:
-
Increased mobility and flexibility
-
Relieves tension and stiffness
-
Improves posture
-
Aids in quicker recovery from injury
-
Decreased muscle soreness
-
Promotes better sleep
-
Enhances sports performance
-
Decreases risk of injury
Assisted stretching can be integrated as part of an overall healthy lifestyle to support regular fitness with deep stretching, improve posture from prolonged time sitting as desks and help to relieve restricted movement from old injuries.
About The Session
Each stretch session begins with a pre stretch check in to see how you’re feeling in your body at that moment. If you have any new or different tensions, specific soreness, or even feel pain relief and more movement in previous ‘problem areas’. With this feedback, we can understand which stretches, tools and areas to focus on in your session.
Then we move onto the session, where we’ll address all the major muscle groups with stretches and the massage gun. Since your body all is connected, we believe it is important to address the body as a whole, rather than just working on isolated parts, like a machine. Of course, we also focus more intentionally on the areas discussed during the check in process and initial consultation from your first time with us. This way we ensure we’re adapting the session to meet your specific needs.
Finishing each session with a moment to absorb the sensations and benefits of the deep stretching, while rehydrating with water or warm herbal tea. Then booking in your next stretch session before you leave the serenity of the Stretch Eden studio. At which point, people often say; “I feel like I’m floating”, as they walk out.
Stretch Eden
The First Stretch Studio In Spain
Stretch Eden is the first assisted stretching studio to open in Spain, located in Barcelona. Founded by Sara Abgrall in October 2024, the studio has grown to include five trained practitioners to help you recover and stretch out in a relaxing and safe environment.

The Studio
Stretch Eden is located centrally in Barcelona, in the neighborhood of Sant Gervasi. An ideally positioned local, situated on the corner of Maria Cubi and Santa Peronella street. Stretch Eden is equipped with 3 large stretch beds, all which have their own floor-to-ceiling white linen curtains, to section off the bed and give you your own semi-private space to fully relax into. However, if you are coming with a partner, we can keep the curtains open so you can enjoy the stretching experience together!
The studios’ aesthetics give off an aura of laid back luxury, with an earthy chic interior through the usage of natural materials, large plants, soft golden lighting, and decadent yet grounding candle scents. We intentionally created the space to be both beautiful and functional, so that you have your own little ‘Garden of Eden’ to come and unwind at, within the city of Barcelona.
Our Team Of Professionals

Sara Abgrall
Founder Of Stretch Eden
Sara has been a trained practitioner of assisted stretching since 2017, alongside 15 years of experience as a professional, qualified group fitness instructor and personal trainer. Sara later trained as a physical therapist technician leading her to the world of assisted stretching and becoming stretch therapist. Starting her journey as a Flexologist (stretch therapist) in Sydney Australia, Sara was the manager and studio franchise trainer of the first stretch studio in the country. Her expertise as a trainer of Flexology led her across Australia and as far as Saudi Arabia to train other flexologists and open additional franchises of the stretch studio. In 2019, Sara moved to Barcelona, bringing with her expertise of assisted stretching and establishing the practise within Spain where it previously had not existed. Five years on, in October 2024, Sara opened the Stretch Eden studio space to share this innovative therpuetic practise in a calm and welcoming enivronment.

Andrea
Senior Stretch Therapist
Andrea is passionate about holistic fitness and overall wellbeing, and deeply understands how physical health can profoundly influence mental clarity. She began her career as a personal trainer, supporting clients to achieve pain-free movement, improve posture, build strength, and find lasting relief from chronic issues such as back pain. Now, as a stretch therapist, she is dedicated to helping individuals unlock greater freedom of movement and experience the grounded, uplifting feeling of being at ease in their bodies. She loves witnessing both the immediate relief clients feel after a stretch session and the long-term improvements that build over multiple visits. Outside of the studio, Andrea is continually deepening her knowledge of the body. She has a particular fascination with Biomechanics, Nutrition, and the Gut Microbiome, and how these systems work together to shape overall health. In her free time, Andrea enjoys getting creative in the kitchen, crafting delicious, protein-rich desserts as a playful way to combine her love of nutrition with culinary artistry.

Catia
Senior Stretch Therapist
Catia began her bodywork career as a yoga and meditation teacher, with a deep passion for helping people experience greater wellbeing and a sense of freedom through movement. Her background allows her to weave breathwork into stretch therapy, creating a well-rounded, holistic experience that helps ease mobility restrictions related to age, lifestyle, and injury. Outside of her work, Catia continues to explore movement in her own life, enjoying dancing, running, and hiking, while also finding joy in stillness through simple moments like reading or listening to music.

Majo
Stretch Therapist
Majo joined the Stretch Eden team in 2025 after completing a master’s degree in Dance Movement Therapy at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with a background in Expressive Arts Therapy. Majo has a deep understanding of how the body expresses itself through movement and the mind–body connection. She also facilitates body exploration workshops, movement meditation, and self-awareness sessions, always creating safe, supportive, and mindful spaces to explore the body and wellbeing. Outside of her professional work, Majo enjoys dancing, reading, and travelling, as well as spending time in nature and by the sea to stay inspired and recharge.

Emily
Stretch Therapist
Emily has a professional background in Personal Training and is passionate about helping people build a better relationship with their bodies. From growing confidence in total beginners, empowering women, and rebuilding after injury. While unlocking your inner strength is a big part of her work, Emily also believes in balance - slowing down, tuning in, and actually listening to your body. That’s what led her to expand into yoga teaching, meditation, breath-work, ice bath facilitation… and stretch therapy! Emily joined Stretch Eden to bring in the more holistic, feel-good side of her work. In her PT sessions, she might make you sweat and shake but at Stretch Eden, it’s all about helping you slow down, switch off, and reconnect. Plus, she secretly loves that here… she gets to do the work for you. On the weekends, you’ll find Emily roller skating by the beach, teaching her girls’ calisthenics class, digging through vintage shops, or painting vibrant pieces on her terrace with a cup of tea.

Ivet
Stretch Therapist
Ivet has a wellness background as a movement teacher specializing in Yoga, Pilates, and Barre. She sees the body as a powerful tool - one that builds bridges toward a deeper understanding of who you truly are. Through movement, she helps you connect your strength with your softness, so you can cultivate stability in your body, your mind, and your life. She was drawn to work as a Stretch Therapist as she wanted to connect with each person in a deeper way, to feel their body and their unique needs, and therefore be able to improve their wellbeing. Stretch Eden has given me the space and the tools to make this possible. With her sensitivity and experience, Ivet creates a space where you can gently reconnect with yourself. Step by step, you’ll feel supported, held, and encouraged to open up at your own pace… and most likely share a few laughs along the way. She is passionate about exploring strength through practices like CrossFit, and deeply inspired by dogs, feminine energy, cooking, and embracing new adventures.

Alix
Stretch Therapist
Alix has a deep passion for bodywork, stemming from her background of teaching yoga and massage therapy. She specializes in myofascial release, Traditional Thai massage, and table stretching, aiming to support the body’s natural alignment. With years of dedicated yoga practice, Alix has cultivated a profound understanding of the connection between movement, breath, and awareness. Her approach is rooted in the belief that the combination of exercise, stretching, and relaxation is key to a healthy body and mind, supporting long-term wellbeing and longevity. Over time, it felt natural for Alix to integrate stretch therapy into her practice, helping people move more freely, reconnect with their bodies, and experience a deeper sense of ease in both movement and everyday life. In her free time, Alix enjoys traveling, swimming in the sea, reading, and exploring coffee shops around the world, finding inspiration in these simple, grounding moments.

Charlotte
Stretch Therapist
Charlotte has built a solid professional trajectory across disciplines that prioritize holistic health through the body and movement: yoga, meditation, Anatomy for Movement, and Movement Shiatsu. She helps people connect with their bodies, inhabit them, and respond to their needs. She invites them to explore the body not as a rigid structure separate from the rest of the self, but as a living map of experiences and potentialities. She joined Stretch Eden to offer this new, unique and specific service. She especially enjoys seeing people surprised by improvements in mobility, flexibility, performance and overall quality of life… with ease. When she’s not on the mat or in session, Charlotte enjoys hiking, open water and pool swimming, creative dance and film.
